# Production Review: Approve a Plan Before It Spends

Some generations ask you to review first. The review page shows the planned scene, motion, costs, and continuity: approving permits that stored version. It does not start a generation by itself.

**Status:** live for productions that require it. Open the `reviewUrl` the app or CLI gives you.

**On this page:** when you see it · how to review · the three decisions · after you decide.

## When you see it

- After a production is planned, the app shows a **Review before generating** link (`productions create` on the CLI returns a human review URL the same way).
- You see: planned request (prompt), shot continuity, costs, and any completed outputs and recorded operations so far.

## How to review (step-by-step)

1. **Open the review link** in your browser while signed in.
2. **Compare scene and motion proof.** Look at the references and the planned shots. Check faces, wardrobe, props, and art direction against the brief.
3. **Watch the motion.** Play the motion proof (if present) and check the action and the ending. Play the native export rehearsal from the preserved sources where offered.
4. **Listen.** Check dialogue and sound against the script.
5. **Read the costs.** The page states the current film pricing for this version. Approval permits this stored request at that quote: nothing else.
6. **Tick the four checks** (visual · motion · audio · export rehearsal) only for what you actually verified, add review notes, then choose a decision below.

## The three decisions

- **Approve this version**: permits the stored request to proceed at the quoted cost. It does not itself queue paid work outside that version.
- **Needs revision**: sends it back with your notes. The plan must change and come back for review.
- **Reject and stop**: stops the production. Retained frames and checkpoints stay inspectable (`productions frames`, `preview-resume` on the CLI).

## After you decide

- **Approved:** the production can proceed against the exact version you approved. Any new version needs a new review.
- **Needs revision / rejected:** nothing spends. Your notes travel with the decision; the history (`records history`) keeps the paper trail.
- **Resume/repair later:** retained work can be resumed or frame-repaired with the exact original request, quote digest, and checkpoint revision: see [Production Records](production-records.md).
