How Girard Media turns private meeting audio into an editable Cut

Challenge

Client calls and podcasts land as raw takes that never become editable film. Import tools dump transcripts; bots force cloud bots into the meeting. Girard Media needed privacy-first capture that still opens Cut.

Workflow

1. CoreReflex Capture (Meetily CE DNA, full CR brand) records mic + system audio.
2. Recording notice — user attests all-party / one-party / host-declared before start (P2-4).
3. On stop, bridge presigns to Files and calls POST /api/meeting/import with source: desktop and consent metadata.
4. Fleet Whisper captions the take; brief + optional composition return editorHref.

Result

• Consent is product surface, not a buried checkbox — stamped on Recording Package v0.
• Same import path as dashboard Files import; no parallel upload stack.
• Operator smoke has opened live Cut compositions from capture imports on production.
